Melody’s Echo Chamber, the brainchild of French chanteuse Melody Prochet, is back with a bang. Following a life-threatening injury in June of last year, Prochet has returned to the studio with her new record Bon Voyage — her first album in six years. The new material is a “collaborative record between Prochet and Dungen‘s Reine Fiske and The Amazing‘s Fredrik Swahn,” her team says, “with Melody sculpting and producing the sessions as well as encouraging the players around her to experiment, often with instruments that might be less familiar to them.”
The first single, “Breath In, Breath Out,” was released earlier this week. On this track, Melody Prochet notes “It’s a special one. I’m used to recording with masters of drums and accepting my drum playing as not perfect but with the right intention was a big deal to me.” Fun fact: this is the first song that Prochet has played drums on
The video for “Breath In, Breath Out,” directed by Daniel Foothead, “invites us into a mystical and magical universe as we follow a pilgrim trying to reunite with his source of inspiration and light, his muse,” her team noted.
Bon Voyage is set to be released June 15.
