New Tim and Eric show spin-off is pretty funny

One of my favorite shows on Adult Swim is “Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job!” which for those of you who don’t know, is a bizarre, skit-based, variety show created by comedians Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim. Heidecker and Wareheim act out dozens of strange and hilarious characters but there are also a good amount of celebrity cameos including John C. Reilly as the flaky, absent-minded, Dr. Steve Brule. “Brule’s Rules” is a recurring segment on the show during which Reilly’s character passes on nuggets of weird wisdom to viewers.

Brule’s awkward dialogue and goofy antics make him one of my favorite parts of the show and two weeks ago Reilly was given his own spin-off called “Check it out! with Dr. Steve Brule!”. After two episodes I’d have to give the program two thumbs up for originality and humor. Just like his segment on Tim and Eric, Brule follows a beat, does interviews, and focuses on a single topic. Additionally, the show looks like a poorly edited, public access program, which only adds to the funniness. See for yourself on adultswim.com
