The band’s music is a free-spirited jazz incorporating vocals, different kinds of African percussion, sax, trumpet, and guitar. Thursday’s performance will feature El’Zabar on percussion and vocals, Ernest Khabeer Dawkins on reeds, and Corey Wilkes on trumpet.

The show will start at 8 p.m. in the Historic Eldorado Ballroom (2310 Elgin St). General admission is 15, student admission is 10. Admission is free for attendees under 18.
