The Mural Project’s First Group Art Show This Saturday at The Mullet

The Mural Project works towards making a positive impact in our city by bringing a sense of community and togetherness to areas of Houston through the creation and display of murals. The Mural Project’s first group art show will open at Kingspoint Graffiti Mecca & Art Space this Saturday, September 22, from 5-8pm.

This art space, also known as KINGSPOINT, or “The Mullet,” is Houston’s largest graffiti mecca and art space and is run by Southern Artists Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works to help autistic children. In the past 18 months over 80 global contributing artists have painted on its walls– and that number only continues to grow.

The art of Daniel Anguilu, Briks, Nicky Davis, The Death Head, Dual, Everything Records, Jessica Rice and PILOT will be featured– some of Texas’s most talented artists. Come and watch as the sides of buildings will be transformed before your eyes into a wonderful piece of art to be appreciated by all.

Following the show, there will be an After Party from 8pm-4am for those that want to stay awhile and enjoy the art and music in the name of helping children with autism. Ages 18+ may enter the After Party, but must be 21+ to drink. And IDs will be strictly enforced, so don’t even try to pull some crap. An indoor venue will be open next door/connecting to the back of The Mullet, extending the area and allowing a full bar with drink specials. Please, please, please: do NOT drink and drive– there is space out back for camping at the end of the night.
