It is free (literally & spiritually) and the only event ive been to that embraces all aspects of rap and hip hop culture from the hood to the experimental to the backpacker/sneakerhead. If you are creative and make music in the hip hop vein then you are welcome. But its greatest quality is the artist development side of it. Artists cut there teeth in the freestyle session and for most artists on the bill this is their first time getting a real professional set(20-30mins). For an up-and-coming artist that first long set is a big milestone moment and separates the men from the boys and Purp provides all of this FOR FREE!!! None of that pay-to-play bullshit #CHUUCH!!! #YouMyBwoyPURP!!!
