I know what you are thinking. Why isn’t Best Fest up here?  It is after all the Best Fest, isn’t it?  I thought so too and, trust me, I WAS totally expecting to just punch the clock and drop that here as this week’s featured show. It seemed like a no brainer.   Then I saw this other festival with it’s unrelenting line-up of awesome bone crushing metal.  That alone was enough to make me reconsider but then I found this awesome promotional video that sealed the deal:

What awesome promotional video did I find from the folks at Best Fest?  Nothing!  No wait, hold on a minute… here, I found one “Best Fest” video on You Tube:

Yeah, see what I mean? WEAK!!!! Building Temples From Death Fest is clearly the winner!  Admit defeat Bestfest!  It was a noble attempt but the blast beats, cookie monster vocals, and rising metal horned fists are something you should never take lightly.

Thursday, September 22

Jacuzzi Boys, The Wiggins, Titan Blood, Psychic Palms @ Mango’s – Miami’s damn awesome garage rockers Jacuzzi Boys almost got lost in the whole Mink thing but mangos picked up the show which is good news for everyone. Kudos to The Wiggins bringing these guys to town.

What’s Opera, Duck? @ McGonigel’s Mucky Duck – University of Houston’s Moore’s Opera House invades the duck for a night of “Opera the way it ought to be.” Bonus, the proceeds go to MOH.

Swishahouse with Sabwarfare, Lil Mario, Big Pic, Big Tiger, Lil Ron, Archie Lee, 50-50 Twin, J-Dawg @ Warehouse Live – Swishahouse brings out it’s finest to the warehouse. Plus, they say they’ll have a special surprise guest.

Atmosphere, Evidenc, /Blueprint @ House of Blues –long standing Minneapolis Hip-hop duo drops into the land of $8 Lone Stars.

Neon Indian, Com Truise @ Fitzgerald’s – Rolling Stone called Alan Palomo’s Neon Indian one of 2010 hottest bands and Pitchfork put his debut album on their 2009 top 20 of the year.

Watch The Bishop: Concert and B Day Bash, featuring Bishop Black, DJ Arsnik, D-Risha, Frankie G Da Mex, Franchise and Yung, Dirty N Nasty, Danny Wattz, Sokal, & more @ Jet Lounge – Yeah, if you’ve never seen The Bishop, I highly recommend it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDnE-5lD7w8
