HPD Assaults Man, Pulls and Cocks Shotgun on Crowd
” This video was taken at the Houston Free Thinkers Free Show. The police showed up at 10:15 with the stated purpose of addressing a noise complaint. Derrick Broze spoke to the police about the noise and agreed to shut down one of the three stages. While Derrick spoke to the officer another officer began poking around The Compound (which is not a public venue). Derrick asked these police if they had a warrant. They asked for his ID. He told them he was not in public and that he was not driving a car and was not therefore required to have one but was happy to identify himself as Derrick Broze and provided his birth date as well. The officer then grabbed Derrick and took him out into the street and put him against the car and searched him. All without charging him or telling him anything. As more friends came around and asked what was going on. Some were unwilling to remain silent and exercised their first amendment rights and spoke their mind. One of these individuals was forcibly grabbed from behind and threatened, “your freedom ends tonight” (can be heard in the video). This individual breaks loose from his unknown assailant and is grabbed by multiple officers and slammed into the car. When the crowd of unarmed civilians demonstrates their shock and outrage at this a shotgun is pulled and cocked. Unfortunately, this went this way. We must learn to somehow reach out effectively to militarized police so that we may win their hearts and minds over to peace, liberty, and the Bill of Rights.”
As many may know, I am involved in a case where I was attacked by three young police officers, who filed an offense report full of lies before they knew the incident was on camera. When the criminal charges are resolved there will be a civil case to illustrate that HPD officers routinely lie under oath. Stay tuned for developments
In 1991, Ron Buice and nine other dudebros from The Woodlands made a drive out to Montrose to beat down some gay men, with steel-toed boots, a 2×4 with nails in it, and a knife.
As Paul Broussard and friends walked out of a gay bar, Jon Buice’s Woodlands dudebros broke Paul’s ribs and crushed his testicles with their boots. Jon Buice finished the job by stabbing Paul Broussard multiple times through the heart.
Jon Buice was sentenced to 45 years in prison for the murder of Paul Broussard, years before “hate crimes” were legislated.
Ray Hill, you have continued to defend Jon Buice for years, to no end. You’ve befriended him, writing letters and even using your ill-informed Montrose support and radio show to try to get him out of prison. You even offered him a spot on your radio show in case you were able to get him released. (You didn’t.)
You alienated Montrose a long time ago with your actions, and you should have been exiled from this city a decade ago.
Houston will never forget what Ron Buice has done, and Houston will never forget your efforts to exonerate him, as much as you’d like for us to forget. And any time you write a blog comment, I’ll be right here to remind you that you’re a Grade-A asshole.

I too was shocked when I learned Ray Hill was supporting the release of Jon Buice. Perhaps Mr. Ray believes in forgive but not forget? All I know it this, GunsandTacos, you are passionate and have a right to your opinion. I will say that as someone who did not witness the wrong-doing by HPD, your argument that they were overstepping the law and Bill of Rights had me until I saw your ridiculous rant on Ray Hill. Be respectful. Ray Hill helped build Montrose. DO I know him? No I do not. I’ve never met the guy but I admire his courage and free-thinking. I think you could learn a lot from a guy like that, without being mean and hateful, you can still stand your ground.
